Dr. Seth Mavrich

Dr. Mavrich and his family recently moved to Knoxville as his wife was accepted into a physician assistant program at LMU. Prior to moving to Tennessee, he practiced veterinary medicine in Northern Virginia for 13 years, where he loved developing relationships with the many pets and pet parents he had the privilege of helping. He particularly enjoys the challenges of internal medicine and explaining complex medical conditions in a way that helps pet parents make informed decisions about their pets’ care.

Dr. Mavrich and his wife have a 3-year-old daughter, Somaine, who loves swimming, playing hide-and-seek, and cooking in her play kitchen. He also has a 19-year-old stepdaughter, Ava, who lives in Northern Virginia and hopes to become a child psychologist. Their family also includes Bunk, a 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who loves to snuggle, and Sambo, a troublemaking tuxedo who is convinced she runs the house.

In his free time, Dr. Mavrich loves hiking and camping with his family. He also loves to travel, particularly internationally. One of his favorite adventures was exploring the Amazon in Peru and hiking to Machu Picchu
